The resort “Hopry” is the oldest health resort of the south of Ukraine, it is famous for its unique natural-medicinal factors: the sulfide-silt muds and chloride-sodium brine of the Salt lake, which is situated on the territory of the sanatorium. Thanks to its unique structure, the medicinal mud of the lake allows achieves more effective result, than the result of the Dead Sea. The health resort is located in the centre of Hola Prystan city, which lies on the bank of the Konka river, the tributary of the Dnieper river, in 18 km to the south from the Kherson region centre and in 50 km from the Black Sea coast. The coniferous and deciduous woodlands have stretched not far from the sanatorium. The maximal for Ukraine number of days and hours of sun shining together with the intensive solar radiation make exclusive conditions for extensive use of the solar energy with the purpose of treatment at the resort. On the territory of the sanatorium there is the artesian well with the depth of 125 m, drinking water from which is similar to the mineral-table water. Two dormitories are the historical monuments – in the time of the Great Patriotic War there was the hospital of the military flotilla of the Danube in them. The park of the sanatorium is also the monument of landscape art, and the medicinal Salt lake is the monument of nature of local importance.
