The sanatorium “Syniak” is situated on the mountains on the height of 500 metres above sea level. The climate is moderate, comparatively warm in winter and with not hot summer. The magnificent landwood around the health resort saturates the air with wonderful fragrances of the Carpathian flora. Mighty trees decorate the mountain tops, the valley is covered with various herbs. In the end of the last century on the place of the extinct volcano in the Valley of Syniak there worked 16 huts for taking mineral baths. Popularity and fame of the resort of Syniak made the owners of the Mukachevo Valley Counts Schonborn to build a comfortable bathing hut here in 1836. The witness of those times became an ancient building with the count arms on the facade. Now this medical building is the architectural decoration of the sanatorium. The waters of Syniak, which are similar to “Matsesta” of Sochi, have the unique medicinal power.
