The Sanatorium “Ukraina” is situated in the resort area of Kyiv region, in the picturesque place of the resort Vorzel, which, thanks to academician M.D. Strazhesko, is callled “the Ukrainian Kislovodsk”. In the sanatorium there are four artesian wells with a depth of 90 m, which have the surface buildings of the pumping stations, barriers and sanitary control of high security. At a distance of half a kilometre from the sanatorium there is one of five tulip trees on the territory of Ukraine, and the House Memorial Museum of landowner Uvarov. In the sanatorium excursions to the Irpin Museum of Local Lore and along the historical places of Pryirpinnia are organized (Valerian Pidmohylny, a Ukrainian writer and prisoner of the Gulag, worked in Vorzel Secondary School No. 25, and many prominent artists, writers and composers lived and worked on the territory of the Vorzel village and of the adjoining settlements).
