The sanatorium “Karpatski Zori” is situated at the southeastrn foot of the Carpathians, in the outskirts of the Modrychi village, in 4 km from Truskavets, Drohobych and Boryslav cities. It is surrounded with evergreen Carpathian woodlands and, literally, is a perl of wonderful Carpathian land. Picturesque surroundings, crystal pure air, salubrious waters, intensive treatment and substantial active rest favour the promotion of people’s health. Modrychi is located in the middle of the Drohobych-Stebnyk-Boryslav triangle. In the centre of the village there is a wooden church at the main road. First mentionings about this parish church are dated 1505. In 1663 the parish got a privilege from the King of Poland John III Sobieski. This wooden church was built in 1901 according to the project of the architect Vasyl Nahirny. The sanatorium “Karpatski Zori” is situated not far from the Teptiuzh Mountain, where the annalistic settlement of the Ruthenians-Boikos Bych existed, and Drohobych city got its name from it.
